ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS

I was notified today of a copyright violation of one of my artworks on the site DesktopNexus
While looking through the galleries I found a number of artworks i recognised from artists on Deviantart, many of these artworks have had the watermarks removed, they have been cropped, rotated, and dramatically resized to make them available for download.

If you have a look through the 'Abstract' Gallery, there are many artworks I'm sure you will recognise. Unfortunately there are too many people for me to notify individually... so hopefully this journal will help

A huge thankyou to those who have advised me of my artwork being used on other sites without my permission, I cannot express just how important it is to me that art thieves are found




I'm taking a break. The rest of this month is set to be insanely busy so I'll be unable to spend any time checking messages or being involved here on DA, I'm still around every now and then to check any urgent messages so if you need to contact me just send a note

In Oct I plan to return with lots of new artwork and a whole months worth of catching up to do
In the meantime there is a big list in my journal & on my front page of the Contests and community activities happening around DA at the moment. Please have a look, there are so many different themes, all inspiring, if I had the time to enter them all I would To all those I owe prizes to, do not be alarmed, I will return with a bounty of treasure and a mega feature for all the winners

Just to clear up any misunderstandings....

I'm sorry to have to disappoint, but no, my artwork cannot be used for any purpose, commercial or private/non-commercial except by me or unless you wish to purchase a non-exclusive licence to use my artwork for personal websites...in this case please contact me by note here on DA so that we can discuss the terms
Sorry, but if i gave my art away all the time I'd have nothing to eat

I display my artwork online for the purpose of showing it to prospective clients, and in the case of this site, its a great place to network with other artists and to learn from those with more experience than myself. This does not give anyone the right to take my artwork, display it as their own or display it without clearly crediting me as the artist and rightful owner of the work.

I hope you understand.
